PRO: Post Rehab of Orthopedic Injuries
|
|
COURSE DESCRIPTION
How often do you encounter clients who have residual problems due to orthopedic injuries? Typically, with constraints of managed care, these clients have been prematurely discharged from rehabilitation and have not fully recovered. Now they present their problems to you as their personal trainer.
This interactive lecture will introduce you to post-rehab considerations for common orthopedic injuries of the shoulder, knee, and back. Actual clinical case studies will be presented to illustrate the adaptations required to tailor an excerise program to meet the goals of this population on their road to recovery.

- Describe common musculoskeletal injuries of the shoulder, knee, and lower back
- Discuss consequences of specific injuries to the shoulder, knee, and lower back
